This is the story of an eleven year old girl Muskan who lives in Munirka Village, New Delhi with her parents and three siblings. Muskan studies in 6th class and has been a part of the CEHRO family for 5-6 years now.

Her mother cleans houses, washes clothes and dishes for a living, while her father used to iron clothes earlier but now all he does is consumes alcohol and does violence with the family. Every day he drinks alcohol and beats his children and wife. He spends all the money that his wife earns on alcohol and eventually there is no money left to run the house and to eat food. It is so difficult for Muskan and her family to have a proper meal. Some days there is no food at all for the family.

The condition of the home is also not hygienic as 6 people live in a small room of size 10’*10’. Since there is fight for food everybody, therefore, every other thing takes back seat.

Even her mother being a Hindu along with her kids took them to the church to listen to the preaching of Christianity, just to earn 4 rupees per hour per person in a day.

The condition being that Muskan’s mother is trying every possible thing to earn her and her family, bread and butter.
