In this CBSE 10th board result, we all must have seen the students passing with the flying colors. But have we ever imagined a girl living in two small rooms with a size of 8x9 ft., where there is the kitchen in one room along with her 7 sisters, she managed to get 93.6% in 10th class. How would she manage to study with one small LED bulb giving light only in one direction and giving strain in your eyes, with no source of stable income and no resources even to eat sometimes? Her home has a ceiling of rail road and there is water in the floor to prevent from heat which in return brings moisture. We are talking about Mezbeen, an underprivileged girl, who has beaten all the odds to secure 93.6% in the CBSE 10th board result.

Mezbeen lives with her mother, father, and seven sisters in Munirka village, Delhi. Her father, Mr. Irfan Khan, sells fish at roadside opposite Jawaharlal Nehru University, main gate. Her mother, Mrs. Momin Begum, is a housewife. Her two elder sisters who completed 12th class study this year help their father to sell the fishes. She studies in the Sarvodaya CoEd Senior Secondary School, Munirka Village, Delhi. She has five younger sisters who also study in the same school. Her mother, on Mezbeen, securing 93.6% marks feels that she could have achieved more and secured the first rank in the school, instead of third. As her mother knows her daughter’s hardwork and how the school teachers appreciate her on her studies. On asking Mezbeen about her role model, she tells “My role model is my elder sister who completed her 12th class. Even though in her family no one is educated she keeps on motivating me to study”. Mezbeen wants to study science in 11th class and become a teacher in biology.

AMezbeen joined CEHRO INDIA at the start of her 9th class on recommendation from her fellow school students. She says before joining CEHRO INDIA, she was less talkative, hesitant to meet new people, and under-confident. After joining CEHRO INDIA, she is confident to talk to new people. She says the best thing she likes about organization is that Surjeet Bhaiya, founder of CEHRO INDIA, is very helpful and encourages and motivates them to do good which helped her to do good and become a confident girl. She wants to do social work and teach the underprivileged kids in future like Surjeet Bhaiya. Further, she wants to become the part of Padho Padhao programme of CEHRO INDIA under which the students become teachers for the junior kids.

We, the CEHRO INDIA team, wish her the best in all her future endeavors. The students like her motivate us to do better and more.
