The Shared Birthday Project helps underserved children celebrate their birthdays with a bang. It brings Health, Happiness and Hope to the children through the power of BIRTHDAYS. For the families fighting poverty, celebrating a birthday often doesn’t fit the bill. It gets deprioritized, neglected and forgotten. On the other hand, a lot of us do want to share our special occasions with the less fortunate. We celebrate our birthdays at an orphanage, shelter homes or learning centres in multiple ways. The shared birthday project is one of such ways in which you can share the joy with the children by sharing your birthday with them. It is unique in the sense that instead of celebrating your birthdays at such places you’re going to celebrate your and a child’s birthday hence putting 2 names on 1 cake.

Project Development 2020

The Shared Birthday Project will be piloted at the community centre of Centre for Education and Health Research Organization in its first phase. We’re targeting to celebrate 300 birthdays on 203 distinct dates. Most of the children here haven’t celebrated their birthdays till now. 203 days celebrated out of 365 days in the year 2018 will help in providing required calories and nutrition to the children; it will spread joy and will make the community centre better connected with a large audience.
